A Rusalka is a water nymph, a female spirit in Slavic mythology and folklore.
Young women who either committed suicide by drowning or were violently drowned must live out their time on earth as Rusalki. In later versions a Rusalka is seen as an unclean spirit, luring young men and seducing them by her looks or her voice, into the depths of the water. She would then wait until the victim had drowned, or even tickle them to death, as she laughed…

In times of outrageous religious irrationality, it is not only womanhood that gets reflected on the album. Whilst women have been demonized and enslaved for centuries just to become exploited and reduced to the shape of our bodies, we’ve got to buck off the chains of dogma all as one.

The songs shine light on those aspects in many different contexts. Some songs are a disputation between mythological spirits while others are “sweet nothings” which underline the erotic side of life and celebrate the universal, free, wild and untamable beauty and strength of womanhood.

Cultura Cura is my weapon in a cosmic conflict. Where no bullets are needed to put harmful standards to the grave for good.
