Grand Voyage is Tapeworms' bold step into uncharted sonic territory. After their 2020 debut Funtastic and a string of singles, the French trio returns with an album that captures the surreal experience of their year in Japan—a world of airports, trains, and fleeting moments of beauty in the mundane. Born out of lockdown isolation, the album reflects the band’s exploration of new compositional methods, blending cheap samplers, FM synths, and Casio keyboards with heavily processed soundscapes.
