This album follows their debut CD "If Only" which was very well received and highly validated
by critics, blogs and on-line radio throughout the "prog" community in North America, Canada, UK, Europe and Japan.
This new release, "Once There Was," Does not play it safe. Witness the 12 part title track clocking in at over 31 minutes.
All in all, "Once There Was," the entire CD takes the listener on a musical journey with thought provoking lyrics,
strong vocals, shifting tempos and time signatures, ambient interludes, haunting melodies and well crafted and powerful arrangements.
The Far Cry captures the spirit of classic 70"s era progressive rock and ushers it into the 21st century.
Jeff Brewer and Robert Hutchinson, co-conspirators of what was to become The Far Cry. Both were members of the Connecticut prog-rock band Holding Pattern at different time periods. Fast Forward to 2013 when the two decided to work together, and the seeds for The Far Cry were sown. Eventually in 2020, Bryan Collin and Chris Dabbo Came aboard to complete the band and record If Only.
