I'm happy to announce for this summer on Unknown Pleasures Records the limited edition CD release of a superb retrospective compilation of my favorite French Dark Folk duo: SWESOR BHRATER - brilliant project from Toulouse which was founded in 2014 by Victor-Yann Gand (brother of Alexandre Gand of Syndicat Électronique & Invasion Planète Recordings with whom he already played under the name Bruta Non Calculant) generally classified as Neo-Folk/Dark Psychedelic by critics and faithfully supported by a solid fan base in Europe. Previously published only in very rare and sold out vinyl editions, I have chosen to offer on remastered Compact Disc their most beautiful ritualistic & pagan compositions deeply inspired by a mysticism of the ancient gods. This remarkable project deserved to come out of the shadows of the dark woods to spread the light of their own creativity to an amazed world.

Hailing from the South of France, Victor-Yann began writing and composing music in the early 2000s. Passionate about romantic poetry and occult music, especially the underground culture of the 1980s, his artistic and musical journey was also deeply influenced by the work of his elder brother Alaxis Andreas G.(le syndicat electronique) with whom he collaborated on
a number of projects.
