‘Glow’, the follow up release to the debut album ‘Still’ from New Zealand music producer Aaron Short, takes us on a journey of fierce synth driven bliss, ethereal sounds and deep dance floor progressions. Featuring the uptempo lead single ‘Stolen Days’ with Alisa Xayalith of The Naked And Famous, along with other long time collaborators So Below and Boyboy, Short breaks genre barriers from dream-pop to shoegaze to techno.

“Glow was largely about contrasts and opposing forces for me, there’s a lot of push and pull in the music. Where the beats and programming can become agitated, the vocals or melodic instrumentation become calming, and vice versa. I love finding that sweet spot between something having emotive beauty, and a raw fierceness.”

Space Above is the atmospheric-electronic project of NZ music producer Aaron Short. Space Above strays from pop structures in an exploration of ethereal sounds and dance floor progressions. Blending spacious vocal melodies from artists including Alisa Xayalith, Boyboy, So Below, with intoxicating electronic twists, Short is always looking further outwards for inspiration.
