In 2012, Soulpersona and Princess Freesia began the journey of Fast Forward. Researching and ruminating on stylistic endeavours fashioned by their yesteryear peers, they blew off the dust to uncover 80s tracks that inspired their own modern flavour and quilted together a unique pastiche of sounds to pay tribute. The resultant songs SoulP and Freesia have created both surprises and stimulates listeners already familiar with the era, but also strikes a chord with newer generations as yet unschooled.

This album could be described as a respectful rhythmical head nod to the 1980’s. Princess Freesia beautifully colours in the canvas with her clever wordsmitheries, trademark lyrical gymnastics, and a vocal masterclass which takes on many guises and characters throughout the duration of the album. Soulpersona's production provides a soulful, crisp, slick and nostalgic musical backdrop which draws upon rare grooves and melodies hailing from a time when large shoulder pads were acceptable and a perm (even on a man) was the norm.

Fast Forward features a very special duet with Jocelyn Brown as well as featured guest musicians such as Marlon McClain (Pleasure) and keyboard wizard Carl Hudson
