Guts for Starters is Smoking Gives You Big Tits' Debut Album. A miscellany of joy, rage and the ridiculous.

It is an ode to the Manchester DIY music scene, where the seeds of this album, and band, were first encouraged and nurtured. It is also a celebration of DIY music scenes around the world that build communities of creativity, joy and inclusivity. Those communities give us the guts to be ourselves, find our voice, and start musical projects we never thought would be possible. But best of all, they connect like minded creative weirdo's, who find there is somewhere they belong and there was all along.

The album will be released digitally on 28th July 2023 with the Vinyl release estimate to ship from 4th September 2023 (this was due to be 4th August 2023 but the date has been pushed back by our supplier, we will get these out as son as we can!).

Now a four piece outburst of riot grrrl influence post-punk that are drawn to the comical, Smoking Gives you Big Tits are as likely to be found celebrating the ridiculous as calling out the actions of the government. They were originally a two piece, consisting of vocals, guitar and kazoo, that formed off the back of a fag packet in 2019 and added bass and drums to the line up in 2021.
