Remixed and Re-Done is a collection of three singles, originally released on vinyl only between 2003 and 2004, after the release of the debut SIDEWINDER album 'Resolution' and it's dance floor smash lead single 'Ego Riot'.Remixes come from Headspace and Emoticon boss Tom Churchill, who had recently moved to Glasgow, Michael Rütten and Max Schneider's Soul Patrol production outfit from Germany and kings of the bootleg, re-work scene, Yam Who? who got in touch to say how much they loved Ego Riot and could they remix it.
The SIDEWINDER project started around 1997 with an Akai sampler and a pile of second hand records with the idea of making some collage inspired quirky beats from lots of different sources.
A bassline from here, a flute sample from there, a snappy snare drum and some atmospheric noise.
Here is a growing archive of old tracks that came out on vinyl as well as some long lost and never heard tracks.
