Muted (Bjarni Rafn Kjartansson) has his own very special place where the air moves slowly and where he feels completely free.

He has been an integral part of the Icelandic hip hop scene for a while and is a sought after beatmaker among the local lyricists. He resides in the desolated east coast of Iceland in a small town of Egilsstaðir, where the isolation and harsh winters have given him time and peace to finely tune his craft.

On the title track "Special Place", he joins forces with the divine vocalist from Samaris (One Little Indian). The outcome is a delicate and beautiful instrumental hip hop piece, where her vocals are delivered in such fragile and peaceful way.

The Icelandic Electronic titan Ruxpin does not fail to deliver as he offers a interesting beat-oriented take on the title track - with a hint of dub influences.

M-Band, a Raftonar-regular by now, goes for the dancefloor with his refreshing upbeat take on the track. A treat for the Dj's.

Muted offers us two more delightful track to make this tasty EP even a bit more tastier. Firstly, we have "Lava" - a dishing hot groove which is a welcomed addition for the fans of Flying Lotus. Secondly, we have the soft hypnotic final track entitled "Dreamworld" - which might be a perfect ending.
