More than a quintet, PYJÆN is the unified expression of the emotions, journeys and influences that comprise its diverse members. The group seamlessly melds funk, afro-beat and contemporary sounds with nods to hip-hop and disco, whilst acknowledging the heady days of 1920’s era jazz.

Their first offering since their self titled 2019 debut (which was championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Huey Morgan & many more) new single “Sage Secrets” sees the outfit join forces with the incredible Blue Lab Beats, creating a joyous, head-nod inducing jam - full of punchy drums and dreamlike keys, perfectly punctuated by the watertight brass section.

PYJÆN have been touring in the UK last year with dates at iconic venues such as the Jazz Cafe, Vortex Jazz Club and Ronnie Scott’s as well as playing Glastonbury, Love Supreme and Brainchild Festival

PYJÆN reach inside the deep, multidimensional well of what is broadly called
Jazz and bring together all its diverse components in a singular, emotional sound.

PYJÆN consists of original members Ben Vize (saxophone/ewi), Dylan Jones
(trumpet), Benjamin Crane (bass), and Charlie Hutchinson (drums).
