Prieuré unveils its second album, "Jusqu'au bénitier," which stands as a true ode to medieval imagination. This record is inspired by the journey of Saint Brendan, a Celtic odyssey from the early Middle Ages, and traces the voyage of Irish monks across the ocean. Enriched by the legends of the Brocéliande forest, the album addresses universal themes while also incorporating more personal elements.

Musically, Prieuré continues its exploration of black metal, blending violence and melody. The sound is more thoughtful, with carefully crafted compositions, while still retaining the punk rage that characterizes their early demos. The album includes several instrumental interludes that create an atmosphere that is both bright and dark.

Notable guests contribute to this project, including Torve from Ascète, who delivers a remarkable vocal performance, storyteller Quentin Foureau, who enriches the narration, and Geoffroy from Paydretz, whose bagpipes add a magical touch to conclude the album.

Ce disque s'inspire du voyage de saint Brandan, une odyssée celtique du haut Moyen Âge, et retrace le périple de moines irlandais à travers l'océan. Enrichi par les légendes de la forêt de Brocéliande, l'album aborde des thématiques universelles tout en intégrant des éléments plus personnels.

Musicalement, Prieuré poursuit son exploration du black metal, alliant violence et mélodie. Le son se révèle plus réfléchi, avec des compositions soignées, tout en conservant la rage punk qui caractérise leurs premières démos. L'album inclut plusieurs interludes instrumentaux qui créent une atmosphère tantôt lumineuse, tantôt sombre.

Des invités de renom participent à ce projet, notamment Torve d'Ascète, qui offre une performance vocale remarquable, le conteur Quentin Foureau, qui enrichit la narration, et Geoffroy de Paydretz, dont la cornemuse ajoute une touche magique pour clôturer le disque.

En parallèle de l'enregistrement, Sans-Visage a rassemblé des musiciens talentueux pour donner vie à Prieuré sur scène, apportant ainsi une nouvelle dimension au projet.
