“This was a real late-night type of tune that followed me all over the coast. Born somewhere on a landline between Baton Rouge and San Francisco and finally cut in the warmth of a dim, late session. Cutting it, the band played it just how it always felt in my head, right down to Mark Pender’s one-take trumpet solo. I could never find the right place to put it on my latest album, so here it is — from me to you. Keep it like a secret.”

Nick was born in 1986 and grew up in Huntington Beach, known predominantly for UFC, commercial surf culture, and tanning salons. He established his musical sensibili- ties in the middle of the burgeoning southern California Psych-Garage scene while retaining his unique perspective on the spirit of American Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll.
