I decided to make something by myself, using the lockdown period to learn just that little bit more about production so I felt confident to share this with you. The first 2 songs were written during lockdown, highlighting observations I've been making on life and finally enabling me to put them into words. Both of these were a new direction for me, getting off to a rocky start that I didn't think was going to culminate in two songs I felt so at peace with and connected to.Then I found 'Reverse' in the deepest corners of my computer files. In a folder called 'bits n bobs' under the ambiguous title 'feels', I didn't expect to find this short and sweet yet emotional rollercoaster of a song from 3 years ago that I would totally fall back in love with. And lastly, Chocolate in the Morning, the pre-cursor to lockdown, written on my way back from a holiday in February, after being asked a LOT in Greece with nervous tones where we'd flown from... this song marks the start of a very happy chapter in my life - and on that note, introducing Cello Man! After persuading him to dust off his cello from when he was in university orchestra 10 years ago, Ben valiantly tackled the parts I'd written from him despite being out of practice, and beautifully completed the organic sound I was looking for on these tracks. I cannot thank him enough, as the songs really would not be the same without him.

The aim of this EP was to connect with people feeling alone, feeling 'feels' that they think are silly or abnormal or need to be 'fixed' asap. Really, the fix is coming together in love, understanding and accepting each other and LETTING IT BE KNOWN THAT WE UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT EACHOTHER, so that we can stop feeling like we are faulty - just part of a big beautiful messy painting.
