The title for ‘Peachy Keen’ is based on a retort from the character Rizzo in cult classic Grease -“Peachy keen jelly bean”. Inspired by sounds from the Smashing Pumpkins’ Adore era, Moody Beach combines elements of gothic-rock with synth-pop to create a contemporary indie track with a Y2K grunge edge.
Guitar lines transition from raucous to pizzicato, live drums are layered over electronic backbeats, synthesisers add a buoyancy to
the harsher elements of the song, while Melissah Mirage’s intimate vocal speaks of surrendering to the light and shade of love.
The track was recorded in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Music is a science, and Moody Beach loves to experiment. Mixing indie rock with elements of flamenco, metal, R&B, and pop, the result is explosive - perhaps why the band has been known to perform in hazmat suits.

The live lineup consists of Melissah Mirage on vocals and bass, Xavier Diekman on drums, Jamhound Booker on guitar and Oskar Johanson on guitar and keys.
