New Minuit Machine’s EP "Basic Needs" is a mix between cold, EBM, and darkwave genres.
From one track to another, emotions change and make us drift with the stormy mood of the duet.
The title track « Basic Needs » plays on the obvious contrast between the indifferent words and the playful composition with oriental accents.
The second track « Sisters » is an anthem for women’s unity, a reminder that we all share this unique and unbreakable link.
Then, « Vanity » brings the EP to a close with its cold and obsessing melodies, a mixed between EBM rhythms and dark wave synths.

L’EP « Basic Needs » de Minuit Machine est un condensé de sonorités cold, EBM, et darkwave. D’un track à l’autre, les émotions varient, et nous transportent au gré des humeurs tumultueuses du duo.

Le titre éponyme « Basic Needs » joue sur le contraste évident entre les paroles, nonchalantes et blasées, et la composition, dansante, enjouée, aux accents orientaux.

Le second track « Sisters » est un chant de ralliement destiné aux femmes, rappelant ce lien unique et indéfectible qui les unit.

Enfin, l’EP se conclut sur « Vanity », un morceau froid mais habité, alliant rythmes EBM et synthés darkwave.

Minuit Machine, a flagship project of the darkwave electronic scene, began as a collaboration between Hélène de Thoury and Amandine Stioui, before being taken over as a solo project by Amandine. Over the years, Minuit Machine has established its style, blending dark synths, techno beats, and raw emotion, expressing feelings of melancholy, rebellion, but also hope.
