COMMENTS ABOUT A RECORDING PROCESS
Records at the discography are presented in order as they were rehearsed in a final way. Here some info about the process.
Instruments for the songs from Demo were recorded in a live session at the unknown Moscow studio for rehearsals on 11 November 2011. Vocals were later recorded in the basement of our friend who also had mixed these songs later.
Songs were ready before the first show on 15 December of 2011 but published just in February of 2012. The artwork was drawn by our friend Margo.
Instruments for the songs from the split with Laeirs were recorded in Saint Petersburg in the autumn of 2012 at the rehearsal base that was rented by Улыбайся Ветру and a bunch of other bands. Everything was recorded by Artemy and further mixed by him. Vocals were recorded at the previous base in April of 2013, and the whole release was published in June of 2013 after the unanswered waiting of the confirmation from the Laeirs. I have mixed feelings about that release at all because of the failed confirmation from Laeirs . The artwork was taken from a list of ready arts that were done by Lina from Monster Alphabet. Of course, Lina had approved the choice before publishing.
The next release (Minaret) has had more problems with its recording. We have recorded several live demos and were ready to start the recording process but Slava has left the band. So we have delayed the process to the end of January 2014 before starting to rehearse with Kirill. He helped us to record drums that were recorded in several live takes at a studio in Elektrostal' city (Mindcrusher labs). Everything was done without a metronome and we (Misha and Oleg) have got a lot of problems trying to record guitars over it in Oleg's student dormitory. Artemy was faced with the same problem in the recording of his part but he has done everything correctly and guitars were later reamped at his basement, and further in autumn, we have added cello's parts and back vocals that were done by our friends Gosha (Поспишь Потом, Июльские Дни) and Varya, respectively. Some parts of the cello were recorded by our friend Dasha. I don't remember in what time vocals were recorded but it seems like it was done in a period from the autumn of 2014 to the beginning of the winter of 2015. The release was mixed and mastered by Artemy. The artwork was drawn by another of our friends Olga, but the idea to use a syringe as a link to minaret was founded by the band.
Right after the release the half of the band (Mihail and Kirill) left. It should be a good idea to get disbanded here but Oleg and Sergej rehearsed with Egor as Dierection. And we have decided to unite and stay alive as two bands with the same participants. After that decision, Sergej asked Timur to play bass. Timur should play guitar instead of Artemy but everything got wrong. We have played with Egor up to March of 2016 before the time he has decided to leave the band. At that time we were ready to record new songs for the LP that we're going to record in the nearest time.
The Riot Session of 2017 was something like a video-split with Infidel Express and НОВО (Timur also plays here). It was an idea of our friend and sound engineer Stanislav Baranov. He just came up with everything in November of 2016, we needed only to go to the DTH studio and record the live session. We have played several old songs and a couple of demos for the upcoming release. At that time Stanislav Dudnic had already joined the band. The artwork was designed by Mert Papik.
The latest release (XX) was recorded at the DTH studio and fully engineered by Stanislav Baranov. He also mixed tracks that were mastered by Brad Boatright further. Instruments were recorded in March of 2017 vocals were finished in half of the year after instruments and everything was released next year in June.
