The seventh, yes count them, seventh album in just over three years by this prolific duo from Kilnerpark South Africa. ‘Move Jinx Hand’ retains some of the frantic garage noise that would be expected from Make-Overs but hints at a more hypnotic, twisted and atmospheric sonic direction. Dark and ominous vibes haunt the pop infected grooves and sludgy rock outbursts all oozing with distorted melodies and hidden hooks.

Make-Overs create a stripped-down but somehow large sound, ethereal yet vicious, a sparkling diamond covered in moss - ferocious musical inventions unique to the bands own askew and ever changing vision. Their astonishingly short attention span as a band ensures for constant evolution, where many bands reach the proverbial ceiling after their first album, Make-Overs have thrashed a hole in the roof and is currently heading for the stratosphere, soon approaching light speed.
