'Stunning swansong from electronic voyager' - Mat Smith, Electronic Sound Magazine issue 117.

After 32 years, I have covered all areas that I feel are relevant with this project. Therefore, although I may occasionally perform live using this pseudonym, this is the final album by S.E.T.I.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported my efforts by buying my sounds, and those who contributed in some way - through releases and by providing live opportunities, doing interviews and offering publicity.

The title ‘Other Planet People’ is from a conversation with Yukari Lagowski, many decades ago. どうもありがとうございます。

I obtained numerous documents from the original SETI project office in America, back in the early 1990's.
Despite fragmenting the texts with a scalpel, they reform to try to communicate something. The question is - are you open to the experience? Do you see new messages coming through? I can't tell you what to see but sometimes a new communication emerges that wasn't in the original documents. This technique is not new (see Gyson and Burroughs' wonderful book 'The Third Mind' for a masterclass), however I find it fitting in this instance.

Three PDF's and three JPG’s of 'new text' are included in the computer download of this collection - consider listening to the album whilst scanning the texts for hidden meaning.

Some tracks first featured as very different versions on the limited S.E.T.I. ‘Believe Night Imagination’ CD on the Loki Found label.

All tracks here were performed on hardware and recorded live to digital stereo in single takes. No overdubs. No DAW.

Making/recording electronic music since 1982 and before that was a drummer in a new wave band. Since 1987 he has released > 60 albums and ten 12” singles. Projects include Nagamatzu (co-founder, guitarist, programmer, engineer), S.E.T.I., Clans of the Alphane Moon, Project Ghost, Legion & Lagowski.
