Manchester-based producer Alex Harris, known as Thugwidow, emerges with Dead Colony, a visceral debut that captures the raw immediacy of the UK underground. Introduced to us through label affiliate Sangam—who shared a vault of unreleased material—this album represents a focused distillation of Harris's frenetic energy and sonic depth. Over several months of collaboration, tracks were meticulously refined, with Sangam contributing his distinct touch to several compositions.

Dead Colony unfolds as a dynamic and fractured narrative, threading together deconstructed drum breaks, spectral atmospheres, and elongated, elastic textures. The result is a body of work that teeters between chaos and control, pulling the listener into its restless, dystopian vortex. Each track expands the emotional palette, balancing moments of exhilaration and unease with a tactile intensity that lingers long after the final beat.
