Club rework of 'Lucid'

"Coming of age in the Pure Groove shop alongside such then-unknown talented as Ghost Culture and Daniel Avery, Kelly Lee Owens is beginning to make her mark as an artist.

Ending 2014 with some fine new music, the producer opened the New Year by releasing 'Lucid' b/w 'Arthur'. Given a limited edition pressing, the cuts matched a colourful, inquisitive, imaginative approach to a reflective groove.

'Lucid' has been given a club-oriented re-work by Kelly Lee Owens herself, and it's a sparklingly fresh take on the original.

Opening with some crunching techno influences, the tectonic shifts bring out new subtleties in her vocal delivery. Spartan, post-midnight club music, 'Lucid' emerges clad in the inky seduction of the twilight hours."
