Twenty Four is a beat tape containing 24 tracks based on the 24 hours in a day. It’s a reflection on the unique moments and hours of each day. Twenty Four started as a way of collecting together beats I’d been making over the last couple of years, but it developed into something much more. I spent the year trying to be intentionally aware of the unique attributes of certain times of day: the way the light changes, the mood and atmosphere of the night in contrast to the day. I began to learn how to see and hear God in these moments. I started to see the theme running through scripture: in particular Psalm 19 and Ecclesiastes. That every day God paints his masterpiece in the sky, his handiwork that speaks out to all the earth if we’re willing to listen.

Jonathan’s music exists in the in-between. Boldly exploring the intersection of visual art and music, of acoustic and electronic, the traditional and the experimental, the introspective and the transcendent.
