Jeune Oji is a French artist, composer and multi-instrumentalist.
He began his musical journey at a young age with classical training in a conservatory, where he learned piano. He then went on to study bass and self-taught drums and guitar, which today form a central element of his music. He took on several different projects, giving him the opportunity to perform on numerous Parisian stages. He also has produced for renowned French artists such as Gringe, MDNS or So La Lune.
Through this solo project, he aims to build an organic, textured universe, imagining authentic, unique sounds at the crossroads of his influences: between post-rock, electronic music, folk, rock... His first EP Apertura is a tribute to his second biggest passion: soccer. This passion has guided and shaped him from an early age.
Apertura means “opening” in Italian and Spanish. It refers to the first half of South American championships of soccer. This EP is both a tribute to soccer, the passion that has guided Jeune Oji since he was a child, and an invitation to enter his world. His music is textured, melancholic and drumless, with guitar and vocal melodies taking a central spot.
