Following up an EP of dubstep-oriented trax, Hubwar is back with higher BPMs. With the eponymous track "Anhumals", we immediately get a taste of his uncompromising approach to Bass Music : a minimalist rhythm accompanied by a rough bass line, all drawn together by a lead straight out of D&B records from the early 2000s. The second track "In My Underground", with its acid bass, frenzied breakbeats and heady voices is a clever mix of jungle and footwork. "The Weapons" also leans toward drum'n'bass, with a simple recipe: a massive bass and a sharp breakbeat. Hubwar concludes the EP with « Pipelines », a calmer track, with psychedelic overtones that will delight fans of analog synthesizers and sci-fi soundtracks.
