With my limited knowledge at the time in remixing vocals & songs, I was able to achieve a sound complimenting SADE’s vocals & Stuart Mathewman’s music. I began work on this in December 1994 & lasted a total of 3 weeks. I only offered it to a few people I knew personally including Frankie Knuckles who had already been playing this on radio way before it surfaced at vinyl stores & Louie Vega who pioneered it for weeks during his Sound Factory Bar nights. Four months later in March 1995, this Musk Records Bootleg came out which I had no knowledge of. I was surprised and shocked to hear it played out at various events at the 95′ Winter Music Conference, Miami. I even heard it on the radio while in a taxi heading back to the airport.
I became best known for this seductive unauthorized remix of Sade’s “I Never Thought I’d See The Day“. Widely recognized on the Bootleg vinyl under Musk Men. Big-ups goes to those who pioneered this: Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, johnny vicious, DJ Disciple, Danny krivit, & John Digweed. I have remastered this gem to the way it should sound.
