Recording Notes-Inspired by the sonic quality of Enoch Light as well as Arthur Lyman's live recordings, similar microphones and mic placement techniques were used when recording this album. The intention was to capture the sounds of the instruments in high fidelity as well as the vibe from those early recordings though similar mixing techniques. 180g vinyl in Super-Stereo! Vibraphones, theremins, singing mermaids and exotic percussions fill the stage while listeners enjoy a plate of pineapple fried rice and sip a tropical cocktail or two. Not everything may go as planned (as “live” theatre goes) but the show must go on!
