Before I say anything about the Driftland itself, I would like to express my huge gratitude to all musicians who were responsible for making the soundtrack more live. Special thanks to:
Zosia Trystuła (Ethnic Woodwinds, Duduk), Monika Frątczak (Concert flute), Weronika Kowalska & Tomasz Pluta (Vocals), Joanna Chudyba (Violin, Etnic Strings), Janek Rusin (Percussions, Ethnic Drums).
Also my words of admiration for the wonderful choisters who did choir parts: SZeW (Szalowski Vocal Ensemble) and Male Schola "Mendicantes". Without the contribution and skills of these musicians, it would not be possible to create so great parts of music.

As an indie project, the creation of the soundtrack required maintaining a constant balance between ambitions and the budget. That's why we also met in the home to practice before recording (... we’re apologize to the neighbors, especially during choirs rehearsals :) and only crucial fragments was realized in the studio at the end.

Soundtrack is written as adaptive music and so it remained as commercial form, so that the listener has to feel the atmosphere of the game. Musical adaptation, depending on the player's actions, changes also the musical image, so the tracks are constructed from the stems that mixing in-play together creating the atmosphere of the gameplay.
The goal of game music was to show the stages of the gameplay - from exploration to full war, while maintaining the artistic form of soundtrack and giving the right mood to each of the four races. For each of them we wrote songs kept in a separate original style.

Making the soundtrack was an amazing adventure and irreplaceable experience. When I started working on Driftland, I did not think that I would devote almost two years of my life and it take me on the journey as visioner of the sound for a whole world in the game. I am grateful for every person, experience and knowledge that I have gained on this path.
