Dedicated to the memory and work of Mervyn Peake, who created a timeless place of darkness and melancholic beauty.

This album consists of ten tracks improvised over ten consecutive nights during the winter of 2024-2025. When creating an album about the Titus series, the most obvious decision would have been to compose something influenced by the Baroque or early Romantic periods. However, I chose to craft a more visceral and impulsive work within the tradition of Dark Ambient and Dark Dungeon Music, featuring simple, unpolished, and barely quantized tracks, drenched in reverb and designed to inspire meditation, contemplation and sorrow. I hope they have, in some way, captured the somber, gothic, and sardonic atmosphere of Gormenghast.
