We're live at The Glad Cafe, Glasgow in February 2019.The set features tracks from the album, an early version of a song that will appear on our forthcoming record, and a cover of an Alasdair Roberts classic.
We had a ball at a very full and cosy Glad Cafe with lots of lovely pals. It was a really special night. Special love to Lucy Duncan, we miss you!
Burd Ellen is a collaborative project featuring Debbie Armour (Alasdair Roberts, Green Ribbons) and Gayle Brogan (Pefkin, Barrett’s Dottled Beauty). The group uses traditional song to explore and evoke dark landscapes and deep stories. Innovative instrumentation, drone and sound-wash support detailed vocal work to create a unique sonic atmosphere.
