Votre rap élitiste et conscient moi j'en peux plus... Ça va encore faire plouf ! J'voulais pas la sortir cette compil' ni la partager. Elle me plaît à moi et c'est suffisant. Ça ne rappellera pas de souvenir à grand monde parce qu'il n'y avait pas internet, ni les réseaux, ni de soutien… On était seul dans un trou du dirty East…
Cette compilation de morceaux des années 90 c'est pour moi l'essence même du Bot’fess clan. On était juste désoeuvré et on faisait du rap pour s'amuser et tuer l'ennuie plutôt que nos ennemis. Ce sont là mes morceaux favoris, des régurgitations de nos groupes favoris du moment (le Wu tang, le Death & Hit squad, les Beatnuts, Mobb Deep ...) écris sans grande portée philosophique mais plus comme un défouloir pour dire "fuck dem all"!! Enregistré dans des caves, sur des 4 pistes, avec des beats qui cognent et des jeunes fous qui ne savent pas mixer (oui derrière ça le master c'est compliqué) ça à tout de même le mérite d'être frais et jouissif. It won't bring back memories for many people because there was no internet, no networks, no support... We were alone in a hole in the dirty East...
This compilation of songs from the 90s is for me the very essence of the Bot'fess clan. We were just idle and we rapped to have fun and kill boredom rather than our enemies. These are my favorite songs, regurgitations of our favorite groups of the moment (Wu Tang, Death & Hit Squad, Beatnuts, Mobb Deep ...) written without much philosophical scope but more as a way to let off steam to say "fuck dem all"!! Recorded in cellars, on 4 tracks, with pounding beats and crazy young people who don't know how to mix (yes, behind that the master is complicated) it still has the merit of being fresh and enjoyable. Bot' Fess Records is a crew coming from the early times of the French Hip-Hop movement. The independent label was created in Belfort (France) in 1993 driven by the group Skizofren (Papi, Maliko, Fredi), very quickly joined by the Mulhouse gang of DJ Scribe, Festé, Khadaf' and more recently by Dé Larchiviste from Switzerland.
