Alexandra Milne joins the BORG roster with her latest EP, “Back of Beyond”. This one comes packing three deep and club ready trax, following the label’s direction with big influences from the UK garage and Utrecht scenes. Starting things off with the first track, “Diffuser” handily blends creative genre-bending sampling with banging, deep 4x4 beats and sub-basslines. Next up is “Gritz”, a straight-up house tune incorporating playful vox and percussions work while being riddled with garage stabs and beats. “South by North” brings the bassline to the front of focus, with the lead melody being played out on the bass ala UK, while infusing a spur of wonky sampling and synths.
